Can I ride 2 people on 1 moped?

No. Hawaii law does not allow two people to ride on a moped. All of our mopeds are single-rider only.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes, 250 LBS weight limit for our mopeds.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Yes. Hawaii state law requires all riders to wear a helmet while operating a moped or scooter. For your convenience, we provide helmets with every rental at no extra charge.

Do you provide locks for the mopeds?

Yes. Every rented moped comes with a lock. Moped theft is extremely common in Hawaii, so we require all renters to lock their moped anytime it’s left unattended. This helps keep your rental safe and secure.

How old do I have to be to rent a moped?

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license to rent a moped.

Can I take my moped on the highway?

You can ride on most roads on Oahu; however, we do not recommend taking mopeds on major highways (H1, H2, or H3).
If you find yourself on one of these roads, stay on the shoulder or in the bike lane at all times — never ride in the main traffic lanes, especially when the speed limit is over 30 mph.

Do I need to make a reservation?

It’s best to make a reservation online to guarantee your moped. We do accept walk-ins, but availability is not guaranteed — booking ahead ensures we’ll have a moped ready for you.

Where can I park my moped?

You may park your scooter anywhere that vehicles are allowed to park. Most public areas have designated moped, scooter, or motorcycle parking available. Please use the provided lock to secure your moped to a fence, pole, or bike rack whenever it’s left unattended.

If you’re staying at a hotel, check with the front desk — many hotels in Honolulu offer free parking passes for mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles.

YOU CAN NOT PARK ON SIDEWALKS OR ANY OTHER UNDESIGNATED SPOTS.

General Rules of the Road (Hawaii Moped Laws)

When riding a moped in Hawaii, you must follow the same traffic laws as all other motor vehicles. Below are the most important rules to know before you ride:

Driver’s License Required:
All riders must have a valid driver’s license. You must be at least 18 years old to rent a moped.
One Rider Per Moped:
It is illegal to carry passengers on a 50cc moped. Only one person may ride per vehicle.
Stay to the Right:
Ride as close to the right side of the road as safely possible. You may only move left when turning or avoiding hazards.
Bike Lanes & Shoulders:
Mopeds are NOT allowed in bike lanes unless posted otherwise. Never ride on sidewalks.
Helmet & Safety Gear:
Helmets are required by law, and we provide them with every rental. Always wear your helmet and closed-toe shoes.
Mufflers & Noise:
Mopeds must have a functioning muffler. Loud or modified exhausts are illegal.
No Alcohol or Drugs:
It’s illegal to consume or carry open alcohol while operating a moped.
Obey All Traffic Laws:
Stop at red lights and stop signs, use signals when turning, and follow all posted speed limits (30 mph max for 50cc mopeds).
Equipment & Inspection:
All mopeds must meet Hawaii’s safety inspection standards, including working lights, brakes, and reflectors. All of our mopeds are up to date and street-legal.

You can call, text, or email us anytime, and we’ll be happy to help you change or update your reservation. Just provide your name and reservation details so we can assist you quickly.

What should I do if I have an accident or a breakdown after business hours?

Just follow these simple steps:

Lock up the rental securely. (Always back wheel locked to a solid structure)
Take the keys with you.
Note the exact address where the moped is located.
Contact us during business hours (8 AM – 5 PM daily) at 808-XXX-XXXX. You can also leave a voicemail, and we’ll return your call first thing in the morning.

Can I rent a moped if I’ve never ridden one before?

Your choice as these are not toys and can be very dangerous.Our mopeds are easy to operate. They require no clutch and our how-to videos will help you through everything you need to know before hitting the road — including how to operate the moped . We reserve the right to refuse to anyone if we feel they are not capable of operating safely.

Where should I ride my moped?

When you pick up your moped, we’ll provide you with a digital map of Oahu that highlights the best scenic routes, beaches, parks, and monuments to explore! Ride safely, enjoy the views, and make the most of your island adventure.

Can I take my moped all the way around the island?

Yes! All of our mopeds are high-quality and capable of traveling around the entire island of Oahu. However, we don’t recommend a same-day trip to the North Shore, as it can take up to 4-5 hours one way (stops included).

Keep in mind that mopeds are not allowed on the H1, so the only possible route is along the scenic east side of the island. If you’re doing a multi-day rental and plan to stay overnight on the North Shore, it’s definitely possible to make the trip safely and enjoyably.

How should I plan for my trip?

We recommend planning your moped adventure around your comfort level, the weather, and the distance you’d like to travel. Most riders enjoy exploring Honolulu, Waikiki, Diamond Head, and the east side beaches — all easily accessible on a moped.

If you’re going farther, bring water, sunscreen, and your phone with GPS, and plan for a few rest stops along the way. Don’t worry — we’ll provide a digital map with recommended routes, scenic stops, and safety tips when you pick up your moped!

What should I do if I get in an accident?

First, make sure everyone is safe. If anyone is injured, seek medical attention immediately or go to the nearest hospital. Before leaving your moped, lock it securely and take the keys with you.

If it’s more than a fender bender, call the police and file an official accident report — this is required by law. You can call the police non-emergency line.

Next, contact our office at 808-XXX-XXXX to report the incident. If it’s after business hours, please leave a voicemail and we’ll get back to you first thing in the morning.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes! You can cancel your reservation with a full refund if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Please note that no-shows or late cancellations (less than 24 hours before your scheduled rental) will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Where do I pick up my moped?

Our team will have your rental ready at your scheduled time — just bring your driver’s license and confirmation email when you arrive.

Where do I drop off the moped when I’m finished?

You can return your moped to the same location where you picked it up at : 919 Waimanu street in Honolulu 96814

Please make sure the moped is securely locked and that you return the keys to a staff member or follow the return instructions provided at check-in.

I received a parking ticket. What should I do?

You have 2 options:

1: Give us the ticket and pay the fine. We will make sure it’s paid to the city and county of Honolulu.

2: We will charge the dollar amount to your credit card on file when we receive the notice. (Usually in 30 days)
